SC Villa will take on Wakiso Giants at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Saturday in a bid to avenge their loss in the first round fixture.
In the previous encounter, Ibrahim Kasule and Shariph Kimbowa netted goals for Wakiso, with Seif Batte scoring Villa's consolation goal.
The game ended in chaos with Villa fans throwing stones at Wakiso Giants officials, injuring the doctor. Villa was then slapped with a five-match ban playing away from home and hosting games in Lira.
Jackson Magera’s men go to Wakiso in excellent form, leading the table with 40 points, in contrast to the Purple Sharks who are yet to win since the start of the second round.
The hosts have struggled with injuries in recent months but could have Moses Aliro back after he missed the last few outings due to injury.
“The fixture against a big team like Villa is one that players want to show character and belief, and I am optimistic of a good show and result,” said Wakiso Giants coach John Luyinda.
Both teams have won twice and drawn once in their past five league meetings. Saturday's fixture promises to have fireworks, and a win for the Jogoos will give them a six-point lead at the top over second-placed KCCA, who play UPDF under floodlights at Lugogo on Sunday.
