Vipers SC is preparing to host a night game under the floodlights as they welcome Blacks Power to St. Mary's Stadium, Kitende for their StarTimes Uganda Premier League fixture.
This will be their second game under the floodlights, having hosted Simba SC in the CAF Champions League a few weeks ago. The champions are hoping to return to their winning ways after going three matches without a win in the league.
Vipers SC is currently 4th on the log with 29 points and will be facing relegation-fighting Blacks Power, who resisted defeat against KCCA in their last game.
The Venoms will be without some key players like Murushid Jjuuko, Yunus Sentamu, Marvin Youngman, and Livingstone Mulondo due to injury. However, Milton Karisa will be leading the hosts alongside Karim Ndugwa, who is still in search of his first goal at Kitende.
Vipers Head Coach Alex Isabirye expressed confidence in his team and stated that they still have many games ahead to achieve their objectives.
Isabirye wants his team to improve and focus on achieving their season's objectives. He also mentioned that the team must lock out all criticism and concentrate on their goal.
Blacks Power FC will rely on former Venom Dickens Okwir, Robert Eseru, and Michael Siwu for inspiration. Vipers won the first round clash 1-0 at the Akibua stadium thanks to a 78th-minute penalty by Ashraf Mandela.
