Spice Diana, whose real name is Hajarah Namukwaya, recently shared the story of how she acquired her Muslim name during a charitable event. The singer organized a Ramadhan giveaway for Muslim believers on March 7, 2023, as a way to give back to society.
The event was held after a Jumah Prayer Session at Spice's home in Makindaye, Kampala, along Salama Road. Spice's neighbors received various daily necessities, including bunches of matooke.
During her address to the congregation, Spice revealed that she was not born a Muslim. However, when her father left, a man named Mansur Ntwatwa took on the role of her father and welcomed her into his household. As a Muslim-affiliated family, they gave her the additional name Hajarah.
Spice expressed her respect for Islam and its teachings, stating that Mr. Mansur Ntwatwa's kind gesture had a significant impact on her life.
She pledged to continue practicing the religion's principles, such as giving back to those in need.
