Ronald Mayinja's decision to return to school for further studies left many of his fans wondering if the African singer was gearing up for a political career in the 2026 general elections.
Before obtaining a degree in Social Sciences from Makerere University, Mayinja had already earned a diploma in Business Administration from Kampala International University (KIU).
In a recent interview with Sanyuka TV, Mayinja dismissed rumors of his political ambitions and clarified that his return to school was solely to expand his knowledge and broaden his thinking capacity.
Despite having completed his education, Mayinja stated that he would continue to maintain a low profile in politics, just as he has done in the past.
In the 2021 general elections, Mayinja's loyalty was called into question as he was seen campaigning for both the National Unity Platform and the ruling party. He even composed a song that was used as President Museveni's campaign anthem.
Mayinja's political allegiances may have raised concerns about his honesty and trustworthiness, but his commitment to furthering his education is commendable.
