Drimz Orders Sun Fm To Delete His Name Off Kwacha Awards

A few weeks ago, Sun FM & Television - the official organizers of the Kwacha Awards released the nominees and categories for this year's Kwacha Awards.

Many Zambian musicians, producers, DJs and stakeholders expressed mixed reactions towards the unprofessional system that the organizers used when making categories.

Among the people that were not satisfied by the categories and nominees was multi-talented singer Jae Cash.

Jae Cash would later label the awards - bogus and asked the organizers to delete his name off the nominees list.

Today, Zambian artiste - Drimz, has also expressed his dissatisfaction towards this year's Kwacha Awards. Drimz was nominted under the "Best Artist Central Province" category.

Through his manager - a one Jackson Demus Phiri, Drimz has asked the organizing committee of Kwacha Awards to withdraw his name from the awards.

"I am a musician for the entire Zambia and so I don't represent the Central Province alone, but rather I represent Zambia, - and by nominating me under the "Best Artist Central Province" category, contradicts with my brand's mission that represents Zambia at large, reads Drimz' official letter"

Kwacha Awards management has not yet responded to Drimz and Jae Cash's humble requests.
